John Bond has been connecting with writers and readers for over 25 years. John is a Publishing Consultant. John founded Riverwinds Consulting in 2015 to advise individuals, publishers, and trade groups on topics dealing with book, journal, and digital publishing, including self-publishing. Previously, John worked for a publisher, starting as an Editor, and eventually became the Publisher and then Chief Content Officer. In his career, he has overseen the publishing of over 500 books and 20,000 journal articles in his career.
He is a proud member of the Textbook & Academic Author’s Association, Independent Book Publishers Association, Association Media & Publishing, and the Society for Scholarly Publishing.
John is the host of the YouTube channel Publishing Defined which provides brief informative videos on publishing. The channel has over 6,600 subscribers and the videos have been viewed over 460,000 times.
In his prior career, John was a librarian in K to 12 education and continues to be a strong advocate for libraries as an evolving place for learning and education.
